Students returned from the long weekend on Monday. Some of our students were away on a school ski trip to Mt. Washington, or away with Outdoor Leadership doing Winter Camp in Manning Park or doing Environmental Service around Victoria and Sooke.

Philippe went on Outdoor Leadership Winter Camp in Manning Park over the long weekend!
In an effort to keep our house as environmentally friendly as possible, the senior students went around to see whose room had a light left on during house meeting. Pushups were done by anyone who left their lights on. It looks like Jack was enjoying help himself regardless of the pushups.
Phantom of the Opera, the Senior School musical this year, is in full rehearsal mode as they prepare to move into the theatre downtown for their performances next week!
This week was also Chinese New Year! We are now in the year of the Monkey. Chinese students in the school served a Chinese themed dinner and hosted a Chinese New Year chapel, where Derry presented and Timmy performed.
There was also Valentine’s Day this week! Here are some students doing a speed dating activity on Friday!

We also had House Games on Sunday! Students played Hockey, Table Tennis, and tested their limits with a Fear Factor challenge. This is what Bolton’s own Chris Bateman had to say about the House Games:
“The boys played with great heart today in all areas and really laid it all out there. Dimitri in particular pushed himself to the limit in Fear Factor! Clayton reports that the Senior Ping Pong match was full of sportsmanship. Connor, Ranon, Joel, Mauricio and many more played so hard against the other houses and emerged victorious in Jr Hockey. Bryan even scored a sweet goal in the dying seconds.”
