Our first short week

While it was only a four day week, you wouldn’t know it based on everything that happened!  Busy academic classes were broken up with some lighthearted fun, weekend activities and some fundraising for a great cause.

Perhaps the most important event of the past weeks was the Tour de Rock visit and ensuing head shave to raise funds for Cancer research and Camp Good Times, a summer camp designed especially for children affected by cancer.  Adrian was one of the brave volunteers to get his head shaved!  He looks great with his new do.  Stay posted for photos of house parent Mr. Daum when he gets his haircut next week.

There was also an afternoon spent investigating a huge number of Canadian universities that came to the gym to hand out information, answer questions and offer advice.  Nemesio and Dionisio were keen participants!

Patt went to Vancouver on Thursday to play rugby in the annual Grade 9 Rugby 7’s tournament.  It was a torrential downpour, but the boys played with courage and skill and finished 3rd overall.

Adam L and Frank had a challenging adventure with their X-PE class as they learned some martial arts.  It also looks like they had a lot of fun in the process!

Saturday was once more very busy with a wide range of activities.  Motocross, swimming, baking, skating and even some good deeds with a service trip to pick up garbage in local parks.

Laurent and Kevin went the extra mile and helped tidy up one of the local yards and created quite a heaping mound of leaves and twigs.

The days are getting shorter and the weather is getting wetter, but Bolton keeps on shinning.  Go Bo!
