Hi Bolton community members. My name is Kyle Slavin and I am so excited to be joining boarding this year. This is my fifth year working at SMUS but I have long wanted to be a part of the amazing community that exists for our boarding students.

In addition to my fifth houseparent role in Bolton, I work in the marketing and communications department at the school. I have the best job at the school; my unofficial job title is “School Storyteller”. My job allows me to get to know our students from Kindergarten through Grade 12 by interviewing them and telling their stories on the SMUSpaper, being in their classes and at their games and concerts as the school photographer, and by managing the school’s social media accounts – Instagram and Facebook (follow us!).

Outside of work I enjoy road biking, photography, writing and taking my dog, Hans, for long walks. (This is Hans and I – he is super lazy!)
