Election Fever

The Federal Canadian Election is going to be held this coming Monday. At the school, we all participate in a mock student election which involved the actual MP Candidates visiting and speaking at SMUS. Logan, our Head of House, was one of the main organizers and was busy around the school making sure people participated in the vote! He even spoke in front of the full, all-grade assembly.

Fabi, Ryan and Benny headed to Gyro Park today, a local beach to engage in a service activity and clean up the beach. Despite the rainy weather, they were still enthusiastic. Every Saturday, we offer a different service activity for the Bolton Boys to sign-up for. Not only does volunteering feel good, but they can also use the hours towards the graduation portfolios. Other activities this week included a visit to the breakwater, cooking, all you can eat sushi and a trip to the Butterfly Gardens.

We celebrated the birthdays of Jason and Alex this past week.

Harry has been hard at work designing the menu for the restaurant he is running out of the common room kitchen for charity. His feature meal this week was seared king crab with an avocado puree and green grape topping followed by scallops in a pea puree with orange juice gelatin.

Matt also provided a delicious carbonara pasta with bruschetta. The kitchen has brought many boys together we have seen some fabulous meals.
