What a wonderful time of year to ‘press pause’ on students’ academic endeavours for a few days. The Family Day long weekend in British Columbia gave the perfect chance for students to take some time away from Bolton House and have some fun!
While some students attended a leadership camp for 4 days, others took to the slopes of world-famous Whistler-Blackcomb Ski Resort.

Many other activities happened throughout the week on the pitch and the court. Here are some action shots of Bolton students from rugby practice!

And on the court too – the Jr and Sr teams competed hard in the Island Finals!!
Check out these intense moments below from our Bolton students in the games!

All 5 teams at SMUS move on to Provincial Championships!! Lots of Bolton presence on the court that allowed the teams to record their wins!

This last weekend, a few of the Bolton students also ventured to the Centre for the Salish Sea.
Located on the breathtaking Sidney waterfront – on the traditional lands of the WSÁNEĆ Nations of the Coast Salish Indigenous peoples – the Shaw Centre for the Salish Sea opened in 2009 and is an award winning aquarium and learning centre dedicated exclusively to the Salish Sea Bioregion. A unique non-profit organization, the Centre combines live aquarium habitats and marine mammal artifact displays (science & nature) with a permanent Coast Salish art collection (arts & culture), as well as public and school learning programs and locally-focused Salish Sea Store – providing an amazing opportunity for learning, exploration, and conservation of the natural beauty, ecological diversity, and cultural story of the Salish Sea.

And, of course, this weekend is the run of the Senior School Musical. Check out this recent article from Mr. Keith Driscoll about the show:
